Serrana Bank

The Serrana Bank is a large atoll-like, reef-topped, carbonate platform located 80 km east from the Quita Sueño Bank and 130 km northeast from Isla de Providencia. The structure has a maximum length of 50 km and is up to 13 km in width, covering an area of around 500 km². There are several vegetated sand cays located on the outer reefs of the bank — the largest of these being Southwest Cay (1.2 km in length and 800 m across) located at the extreme southwestern corner.
