Eastern Fields

The Eastern Fields reef complex lies far beyond the outer margins of the northern Great Barrier Reef, 75 km due east of Ashmore Reef and Boot Reef. They are the northernmost reefs of the Coral Sea, and come under the jurisdiction of Papua New Guinea. The reef is located 167 km southwest of the Papua New Guinean capital of Port Moresby.
