Nonouti

Nonouti is an atoll of the South Gilbert Islands, located 38 km northwest from Tabiteuea. The atoll is composed of a nearly continuous line of islands on the northern, eastern and southeastern sides. The only permanent landmass of the western side is the solitary island of Noumalang. Nonouti is the third largest atoll to be found amongst the Gilbert Islands, measuring around 35 km in length and up to 15 km across. Its islets have a combined land area of 29.2 km².
