Mednyy

Smallest of the two main islands that comprise the Komandor Islands, measuring 60 km in length and between 1 and 10 km across, the narrow and elongate island of Mednyy is located 49 km east of Beringa and 344 km northwest of Attu inthe Aleutian Islands.
The island has two important Northern fur seal (Callorhinus ursinus) rookeries at the southern tip of Cape Yugo-Vostochnyi, and along the southeastern shore to Cape Palata.
