The Récifs de l'Astrolabe (Astrolabe Reefs) consist of several small submerged reef formations located upon the Loyalty Ridge, situated 95 km northwest of the Loyalty island of Ouvéa and 110 km northeast of Grande Terre. Their seaward sides face the east, with the western sides consisting of narrow back-reef environments. The largest reef has a north to south dimension of around 12 km.
